Meta and TikTok Now Make Video Ads for You. Here's What Supplement Brands Should Feed Them
Meta and TikTok launched AI tools that build video ads from your assets. Here is what changed at Advertising Week 2026 and what supplement brands should feed them.
Last week at Advertising Week New York, Meta and TikTok both announced tools that turn the assets you upload into finished ad creative. Meta's tool that builds video ads from static images is now available to all advertisers. TikTok now puts your own assets, its own AI-generated creative and creator videos into one approval queue.
For supplement brands, this changes where the work is. Editing gets easier. What you feed these tools matters more.
What Meta announced
Meta's Advantage+ creative can now turn a static image ad into a video ad, and it is generally available. Meta says more than 60% of time on Facebook and Instagram is spent on video.
Ads Creative Studio is rolling out to more advertisers. It generates video concepts and lets you edit the hook, audio, length, captions, text overlays and end scene. Video built from catalog product images is in beta for eligible advertisers.
Meta is also testing a business AI assistant that can import your brand guidelines, plus checkout inside Messenger and Meta AI with partners like Shopify, Stripe and PayPal.
What TikTok announced
Smart+ Creative Selection groups your brand assets, Symphony AI-generated creative and creator videos, then recommends groups for each campaign goal. You approve the content before it runs. Smart+ is also coming to TikTok Search Ads.
Buy Direct, an in-app checkout from the For You feed, is in early access with Shopify, Stripe, Salesforce and Shoplazza. And the TikTok Ad Network is open to US advertisers for the first time, reaching almost 400,000 third-party apps.
Canadian availability was not confirmed for most of these. Check Ads Manager or ask your platform rep before you plan around them.
Your asset library is now the brief
Both platforms build ads from what you upload. A flat packshot on a white background gives the tool very little, and the video it makes will look like it. Product photography on several backgrounds, real hands, real routines and strong first frames give it options.
Sameness is the new risk. When thousands of brands run the same generator on similar product photos, the results start to look alike, and Meta already groups look-alike creative together. When we researched our supplement ads guide, we counted about 530 active AG1 ads and about 1,900 active IM8 ads in the Meta Ad Library. Volume alone does not stand out. A clear idea per ad does.
Checkout in the feed also raises the bar on the product shot. More people will decide without visiting your site, so the ad has to show the product, the format and the serving clearly enough to buy from.
Where supplement brands need to slow down
Auto-generated captions, overlays and end scenes can add wording you did not write. In a regulated category, one generated line about what a product does can get an ad rejected, or worse. Review every variant before it runs, not only the first one. TikTok's approval step helps, and supplements already go through TikTok's pre-approval process.
AI-made visuals also raise disclosure questions, which we covered in AI disclosure labels for supplement video ads. Compliance stays the brand's responsibility. These tools do not check claims for you.
What to feed the tools this quarter
Product photography in volume: several angles, backgrounds and lighting set-ups per product, at high resolution. This is what Meta turns into video.
Hooks as separate short clips of three to five seconds, so the tools can pair them with different bodies. Real creator and hands footage, because TikTok now ranks it right next to AI output.
An approved claims list, one page your team has signed off, to check every generated variant against. Your brand guidelines in a clean file that Meta's assistant can import. And 9:16 and 4:5 masters of every core asset, so nothing gets cropped badly.
How Design 4 Studio fits in
The platforms now do the assembly. What they cannot do is make the raw material worth assembling. Design 4 Studio produces the product photography, hook variations and supplement video ads that give these tools something good to work with, using human creative direction and AI-powered production.
